Front Range Community College is hosting two public stargazing events at its campuses in Longmont and Fort Collins in September. 

The free events are open to all FRCC students, faculty, instructors—and the public. No reservations are necessary. 

Larimer Campus Event 

WHERE: 

FRCC’s Larimer Campus 

 4616 S. Shields Street, Fort Collins 

Sunlight Peak Observatory is located between Harmony Library and the Gray’s Peak building.  

WHEN:  

Friday, September 5 

8 pm – 10 pm 

DETAILS: 

Observatory Nights are free and open to the public. The event will take place, weather permitting. Make sure to dress appropriately for the conditions as the Sunlight Peak Observatory is not heated.

Boulder County Campus Event 

WHERE: 

FRCC’s Boulder County Campus 

2121 Miller Drive, Longmont 

The observatory is in the courtyard of the Classroom Building. Once you enter the courtyard, just look for the white dome. 

WHEN:  

Monday, September 8 

8 pm – 9:30 pm 

DETAILS: 

The event may be canceled because of inclement weather or unforeseen equipment issues. Check this link for local sky conditions.
