
Front Range Community College is hosting a public stargazing event at its campus in Longmont on August 28.
The free event is open to all FRCC students, faculty, instructors—and the public. No reservations are necessary. A crescent moon, Mars and nebulae will potentially be visible.
Amateur astronomers are invited to bring their own telescopes to set up in the courtyard.
WHERE:
The observatory is in the courtyard of the Classroom Building at FRCC’s Boulder County Campus, 2121 Miller Drive in Longmont. Once you enter the courtyard, look for the white dome.

8:00 pm – 9:30 pm

The event may be canceled because of inclement weather or unforeseen equipment issues. Check this link for local sky conditions.
