Robert “Rip” Engler is the new director of the Front Range Community College-Brighton Center.

Engler joins the Brighton Center from Hinds Community College, the largest community college in Mississippi, where he was an assistant campus dean.
During nine years at Hinds, Engler also worked as an administrator in both career/technical and academic higher education, admissions, advising and counseling, and testing. He has been faculty advisor for the student government organization and has taught as an adjunct instructor of sociology. He also has worked on the national level for SkillsUSA as a judge.
Engler has a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Southern Mississippi, graduate work in sociology at Humboldt State University and a master’s degree in educational and counseling psychology from the University of Mississippi, as well as being trained and experienced in community mediation.
Engler succeeds Dori Benavides, the longtime Brighton Center director who died in September 2017.
