Award from the Denver Foundation marks 25 years of its Reisher Scholars Program and expands scholarship access for FRCC students.
The Front Range Community College Foundation has received a $325,000 grant from the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation as part of a $25 million initiative marking the 25th anniversary of the program.
Over the next two academic years, the funding is expected to help more than 150 FRCC students reenroll, complete their coursework, and earn a degree or certificate through completion-focused scholarships.
“Many students are within reach of a life-changing credential, but unexpected financial pressures or personal circumstances can put that goal at risk,” said FRCC President Colleen Simpson, EdD. “This partnership with the Reisher Scholars Program reflects our shared commitment to helping more Coloradans complete their education and build the futures they envision.”
Eligible students will be within six to eight classes of completing their certificate or degree, helping ensure the funding is directed to students nearing graduation. By expanding completion-based scholarships, the grant will help more students persist through their final semesters, complete their degree or certificate, and enter Colorado’s workforce with less financial burden.

The grant is part of a statewide investment by the Reisher Scholars Program at The Denver Foundation, recognizing colleges and universities committed to expanding access, opportunity and success for Colorado students. Front Range Community College is among a group of current and future Reisher partner institutions across the state to receive anniversary funding.
