Front Range Community College will have two public stargazing events at its campus in Longmont in November!
These FREE events are open to all FRCC students, faculty, instructors—and the general public. Masks are required in the dome regardless of vaccination status. No reservations are necessary.
Amateur astronomers are invited to bring their own telescopes to set up in the courtyard.
WHERE:
The observatory is in the courtyard of the Classroom Building of FRCC’s Boulder County Campus, 2121 Miller Drive in Longmont. Once you enter the courtyard, just look for the white dome.
WHEN:
- Monday, November 1 (CANCELED DUE TO CLOUD COVER)
- Wednesday, November 17 (A full moon and the Leonid meteor shower should be visible—weather permitting)
- Both events from 7:00 – 8:00 PM
DETAILS:
The event may be canceled because of inclement weather or unforeseen equipment issues. Check this link for local sky conditions.
