Service to others is a big part of Marie Jeffries’ experience. She has served children and adults in India, teens in trouble in Brighton, and fellow students at Front Range Community College-Boulder County Campus in Longmont.
Godwin Piyasena, a native of Sri Lanka, had a career in high tech, advancing to such positions as systems management engineer and software engineer. At his last high-tech company, he was asked to train the offshore engineers who would take his job.
Today, he has a job that won’t go offshore.
After graduating from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in economics, Sheri Kalina started working as a teller and ATM specialist for a credit union. While working at the credit union and then as the registration processor for Conference Services at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Sheri discovered she liked numbers and accounting.
