Front Range Community College’s website has been voted the Telerik Sitefinity Education Website of 2014.

Progress Software Corporation, which in 2014 acquired Telerik Sitefinity, the vendor for FRCC’s content management system, reported that “more than 40 organizations were nominated for website creativity, design, user experience, functionality and overall presentation. After narrowing the field, voting was opened up to the community at large.”

In a web vote, the FRCC website was chosen over websites of a fine-arts academy in Singapore and a technology institute in Australia.

Progress stated the FRCC site is a “personalized experience to site visitors, integrated with third-party blog feed and other systems,” and is compliant under the Americans with Disabilities Act.

The launch of the website in December 2014 was the culmination of months of discussion, planning, and execution from all areas of the college, most particularly Information Technology Services and Marketing and Communications. Sandra Bergman, web and social media coordinator, led the effort.

FRCC worked with Hodgson Consulting on the development of the website, culminating in:

  • Navigation based on the timing of a prospective student’s engagement with FRCC.
  • A personalized experience based on a visitor’s campus selection on about 40 percent of the website’s pages.
  • Integration of the FRCC blog throughout the website.
  • Dropdown menus that draw the user further into the site and encourage exploration.

In 2014, the website had more than 900,000 page views, with more than 750,000 unique page views.
