Precision optics and lasers are everywhere you look—in cameras, virtual reality systems, 3D projectors, laser scanners , microscopes, satellite systems, quantum computers and telescopes.

Quantum technologies can harness the properties of single atoms or particles of light. They are relevant to sensing, imaging, metrology, communications and cryptography, and they have the potential to transform computing, financial security, medicine, navigation, intelligence and other areas.

Come Play at FRCC’s Photon Playground!

This one-of-a-kind day of science discovery will feature a laser waterfall, quantum chess, a laser maze and a soap-bubble experiment, among 18 other demonstration stations. Join us to learn more about optics and laser technology and visit our state-of-the-art facility at our Photon Playground.
