Nearly 4,200 graduates—including the youngest at 14 and the oldest at 76—celebrate academic success and community impact.
Front Range Community College will host two separate commencement ceremonies to honor its largest-ever graduating class—awarding more than 5,700 degrees and certificates to nearly 4,200 students.
Graduates will experience the culmination of our academic year with Wolf Pack pride and excitement as FRCC sends off its 2024-2025 graduates into their bright futures, ready to change the world for the better.
“As Colorado’s emerging leaders, teachers, entrepreneurs, nurses, engineers, police officers, writers, artists, politicians, auto technicians and business owners, FRCC graduates are prepared to take on the world,” said FRCC President Colleen Simpson, EdD. “Our alumni will help shape and uplift our communities for generations to come.”
“Whether this year’s graduates plan to pursue a career or transfer to a four-year university, there’s a world of opportunity out there for them,” she added. “As our graduates leave FRCC, they embark on a pivotal adventure—and we plan to see them off with a first-rate fanfare.”
Breaking Down Barriers
For our graduates, this academic achievement showcases how FRCC is helping break down barriers for future generations. FRCC is an institution where all learners belong—and where every student gets the support they need to achieve and thrive. Almost half (48%) of FRCC students are the first in their family to go to college.
This year, the college will award more than 5,700 degrees and certificates to almost 4,200 graduates for the 2024-2025 academic year. This graduating class is as diverse as the subjects they have studied at FRCC:
- Youngest graduate: 14
- Oldest graduate: 76
- 38% students of color
- Graduates from 15 countries (including the US) and 21 US states
- 91 students who are military veterans
- 26% eligible for federal Pell grants (students who display exceptional financial need)
Keynote Speakers
Once again this year, the college is enhancing its commencement ceremonies to guarantee every graduate an outstanding celebration, full of FRCC Wolf Pack pride on their special day. FRCC is thrilled to announce Rep. Joe Neguse, Congressman for Colorado’s Second District and Joe Garcia, Chancellor of the Colorado Community College System, as the keynote speakers for our 2025 commencement ceremonies.
“We’re thrilled to connect our students with accomplished pacesetters in Colorado’s vibrant leadership realm,” said Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer Lilian Clemente. “We want our graduates to hear the clear message that anything is possible as they pursue their dreams.”
Our student speaker this year is Chelsea Carroll, a single mother and business owner who is earning her associate of science degree magna cum laude and continuing on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
The college’s annual commencement ceremonies will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, and Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Students eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony include those who have completed coursework over the 2024-2025 academic year.

Meet This Year’s Outstanding Graduates
FRCC’s Class of 2025 is full of high-achieving students, many of whom have overcome significant challenges to succeed in college.
Early childhood education major Aubree Barlow is graduating with her mom, Gypsy Bramel; the mother-daughter duo will celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime graduation milestone—together. Both women say FRCC gave them more than just knowledge. It gave them confidence, encouragement and a chance to pursue something meaningful.
“The teachers at FRCC are so amazing at lighting that passion and helping you keep it,” Aubrey says.
