The Interior Design Program at Front Range Community College is one of 10 accredited programs nationally to receive an Excellence in Education Award from the National Kitchen & Bath Design Association (NKBA®).
Nowell Vincent is program director. She holds certifications of the National Council for Interior Design Qualifications, CKD (National Kitchen and Bath Association), and LEED AP ID+C (interior design and construction). She has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in interior design from Colorado State University.
To be considered for the award, each NKBA-accredited program submits two student design projects which are then scored using the NKBA Kitchen & Bathroom Planning Guidelines and NKBA Graphics and Presentation Standards. The award-winning schools earned an average combined score of 90 or above on their submitted designs.
NKBA accreditation is available to two- and four-year colleges, universities, and technical institutes throughout the United States and Canada that offer kitchen and bath degree or certificate programs which meet the NKBA’s standards. By earning NKBA accreditation, schools show prospective and enrolled students that they provide quality education in residential kitchen and bath design.
