Front Range Community College President Andrew Dorsey has received a Shirley B. Gordon Award of Distinction from Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community colleges.

The award recognizes outstanding efforts given toward promoting the goals of Phi Theta Kappa.

FRCC has Phi Theta Kappa chapters at its Boulder County, Larimer, and Westminster campuses. Phi Theta Kappa recognizes academic achievement and provides its members with opportunities for growth and development through honors, leadership, service, and fellowship programs.

The award is named for the late Dr. Shirley B. Gordon, Phi Theta Kappa’s longest serving board of directors chair and president emeritus of Highline Community College in Des Moines, Washington.
