Suzy Morris, an Interior Design student at Front Range Community College, has earned a $1,000 scholarship in the National Kitchen & Bath Association Charette Design Competition.
The competition recognizes students who demonstrate advanced skill in kitchen design by planning a safe, functional kitchen within a three-hour timeframe.
Morris’s design earned an honorable mention in the international competition that is open to NKBA-accredited programs.
The students participated in the challenge of creating a kitchen floor plan with specifications, a design statement, and a perspective or elevation of a kitchen featuring Monogram® appliances. Designs had to adhere to the NKBA Kitchen & Bathroom Planning Guidelines and the NKBA Graphics and Presentation Standards.
