The Pharmacy Technician Program at Front Range Community College’s Westminster Campus has earned national reaccreditation.

The reaccreditation, good for six years, comes from the Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission of the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP) and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

The two-semester Pharmacy Technician Program prepares students to assist pharmacists in the preparation of prescribed medications. Pharmacy technicians work in retail pharmacies, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and mail-order pharmacies, as well as other settings.

According to gainful employment statistics, the job placement rate for students who complete the program is 90 percent.
