Kay Howarth, a student at Front Range Community College, has won a $1,000 Emerging Leaders Scholarship from the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS).

The Emerging Leader Scholarship recognizes and rewards demonstrated leadership ability and accomplishment. Howarth leads meetings where students can work on goal setting, accountability, and commitment to action.

NSLS is an honor society that seeks to strengthen leadership skills through leadership training days, connecting students to their peers, and broadcasts of nationally known speakers. It has more than a half million members at about 500 college and university chapters. The organization helps students discover and achieve their goals.
