Peruvian Guitar Virtuoso to Perform at FRCC Campus in Westminster

Peruvian guitar virtuoso Alfredo Muro with special guest artists Felicity Muench and Kevin Garry will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Visual and Performing Arts Gallery at Front Range Community College.

VPAG Alfredo Muro“The music of Alfredo Muro elevates the guitar to a higher plane…it is richly eloquent,” says performer and recording artist Jose Feliciano. Muro has performed at guitar festivals in Chile, Argentina, Peru, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Canada, Italy, Germany, Austria, Norway, and the United States. He has been a featured artist at the Kennedy Center for the Millennium Concert Series in Washington, D.C., at Benaroya Hall in Seattle, and at the Smithsonian Museum.

Muench, founder of the Boulder Guitar Society and a guitar teacher for 40 years, is an affiliate guitar professor at Colorado Christian University. She has been selected to perform in master classes with Andres Segovia, Pepe Romero, John Duarte, and Alize Artzt.

Garry, music professor at FRCC’s Westminster Campus, has performed as a featured soloist with the Colorado Music Festival, MahlerFest, and orchestras in Washington and Colorado. Recent solo concerts have been at the University of Wyoming, Puget Sound University, University of Limerick in Ireland, and at St. Cronan’s Church, Ireland. He is the author and recording artist of the eMedia Guitar Series, sold internationally since 1998.

The gallery is Room C1660 at the Westminster Campus, 3645 W. 112th Ave., Westminster. Admission is free. Seating is limited.
