FRCC Westminster Campus to Confer Degrees, Certificates May 10

WESTMINSTER, Colo. – Front Range Community College Westminster Campus will confer degrees and certificates during its 2012 Commencement at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at the Denver Merchandise Mart, 451 E. 58th Avenue. Their ceremony also will honor graduates at the Brighton Center location.

FRCC awards degrees and certificates in the semester they are earned, but holds commencement ceremonies once a year in the spring. Graduates from the summer and fall 2011 semesters and spring 2012 semester may participate.

FRCC Westminster Campus Vice President Therese Brown will preside over the ceremony. FRCC employee Renee Seidel, tutor coordinator, will sing the National Anthem, and the Denver and District Pipe Band will perform the processional and recessional. The most unique part of the evening’s festivities will be the commencement speakers—10 in total. Several graduates, students, faculty and staff—collectively called “Our Voices”—will each speak about the impact FRCC has had on them and their community.
