Award-Winning Slam Poetry Artist Andrea Gibson Coming to FRCC Boulder County Campus
LONGMONT, Colo. – Front Range Community College’s Boulder County Campus will welcome renowned slam poet Andrea Gibson on April 9 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public, and will be held in the Boulder County Community room on the FRCC Boulder County Campus.
Gibson is at the forefront of the spoken word movement. She is the first winner of the Women’s World Poetry Slam (2008) and performs her powerful readings across the country. She recently released her fifth full-length album, Flower Boy, and has published two books of poetry, The Madness Vase and Pole Dancing to Gospel Hymns. Her works cover everything from love to war, from gender equality to spirituality.
Gibson performed at the Boulder County Campus in March 2010 in celebration of Women’s History Month.
