See the Stars from Boulder County Campus Observatory on Oct. 20

Front Range Community College will have a public stargazing from 8 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Boulder County Campus Observatory.

The observatory is in the courtyard of the Classroom Building at the campus, 2121 Miller Drive, Longmont.

Amateur astronomers are invited to bring their own telescopes to set up in the courtyard.

In addition to the 14-inch Celestron telescope mounted in the observatory dome, the Boulder County Campus has a radio telescope that will be operational during the event. Because radio telescopes can operate even under cloudy skies, there will be a demonstration to view no matter the sky cover.
