FRCC-Larimer Theater Program’s World Premiere of Rock Musical Opens Oct. 28

The Front Range Community College-Larimer Campus Theater Program presents the world premiere of “Immortality,” a rock musical, Oct. 28-30 and Nov. 3-5 at the Bas Bleu Theatre, 401 Pine St., Fort Collins.

“Immortality,” a fantasia on the future of humankind, was written by Peter Anthony and Perry Sheafor. It tells the story of a group of survivors who wake up in a strange white room strewn with clues to events which led to a seemingly massive planetary shift. They begin to enact those events for an imagined audience, those who will one day arrive from the future and inherit a transformed world.

Anthony, a theater instructor at FRCC, also directs the musical. This show is the fifth year of collaboration with Bas Bleu in presenting FRCC’s fall production.

Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 and 29 and Nov. 3-5 and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 30. Tickets are $12 general admission, $8 students and seniors. Tickets are available by calling (970) 498-8949 or online.

This production is entered in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, a national program that encourages, supports and promotes excellence in college/university theater.
