Guitarist to Perform Oct. 14 for FRCC Music Series

Guitarist Matt Dorris will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at The Brewing Market as part of the Front Range Community College Music Series.

Dorris will perform Spanish, finger-style jazz, and modern American works for solo guitar.

Dorris, a music instructor at the Boulder County Campus, has a master’s degree in guitar performance from the University of Colorado and a bachelor’s degree in music performance from Southern Oregon University. He is a veteran of the musical theater scene, playing electric, classical, and bass guitar for shows such as “Grease,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Man of La Mancha,” and “Godspell.”  In addition to teaching at FRCC, Matt teaches private guitar lessons out of his studio in Longmont.

Admission is free. The Brewing Market is located at 1520 S. Hover Road, Longmont.
